What Is an Affiliate Link?
An affiliate link is a standard product link that includes a tracking code identifying SmartBabyChoices as the referring website. When you click one of our links and make a purchase within the retailer's cookie window, the retailer pays us a small commission.
The price you pay is identical whether you use our link or go directly to the retailer. Affiliate commissions are paid by retailers from their own marketing budget. not added to your purchase price.

How This Affects Our Recommendations
It doesn't. Our scoring methodology is defined in our Editorial Policy and is applied consistently regardless of whether a product has an affiliate programme. Products are ranked on performance, safety, usability, value and European availability.
Some products we recommend highly, such as IKEA's Antilop high chair, are sold through IKEA's own website, which has no affiliate programme. We recommend it anyway because it performs well. This is the clearest illustration of our approach: we recommend on merit, not commission potential.
What We Do Not Do
- Accept payment from brands in exchange for positive reviews or higher rankings
- Alter review scores based on commission rates
- Include affiliate links in editorial content without disclosure
- Recommend products solely because they offer affiliate programmes
- Accept "gifted" products in exchange for a guaranteed positive review
